Clothespin Reindeer
"Rudolph the red nosed reindeer! Had a very shiny nose......"
This is an ornament that we had on our tree when I was a kid so I thought I would make them again with my little ones!
1. You will need 2 wooden clothes pins.
2. Paint them brown.
3.Glue the two clothes pins together.
4. Add eyes and a nose. We used a button for the nose, but you could also use a small pom-pom.
5. Tie a piece of ribbon or yarn around the reindeer so that you can hang it on your tree. Draw a line down the center of the bottom clothespin to create legs and draw hooves.
6.It's finished.

When I was little, we had a 'nicely decorated' tree upstairs, then a kids craft tree downstairs. That tree was chuck-full of clothespin reindeer. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI had a reindeer clothespin on my fridge!! The magnet wasn't strong and it kept falling off. Eventually the kids got to it....I never saw it again.
ReplyDeleteI think every kid has made these. I know I did when I was little, and so did my husband. They're a Christmas tree staple!
ReplyDeleteI remember doing something like that in elementary school! I am pretty sure my parents still hang it on their tree every year. How cute!
