This week was another great week for me! I have been making much better choices when it comes to snacking. If I want something crunchy, I eat an apple. Something sweet and chocolaty, I eat a Special K bar. I'm still only drinking water. Yay! The best part is that I am now down 5 pounds! It's a small step, but it is progress:)
This week's task involves breakfast. I eat the same breakfast everyday. Special K cereal with skim milk and a piece of fruit. It actually is very yummy! Giving up the heavy breakfast was easy and without all the coffee in the morning, I don't have that afternoon crash anymore:)

My goal for this week is to limit my portion sizes at meal time. No going back for seconds:( Good luck this week!

You rock! You're doing so well and the no going back for seconds idea is really going to help. Now, if that would just work for me on pizza....
ReplyDeleteGood for you. I could surely use some of that motivation.
ReplyDeleteCongrads-You are doing a great job!! Enjoyed visiting your site again - Thanks and have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteWow, 5 pounds is awesome! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck this week!
WOO HOO, Sandy...keep it going, girl! I'm so proud of you!!!
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo, Sandy! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteI could use your motivation and willpower.
Wow thats great.. keep it up. Heres some food for thought that might help with your portions that your looking to reduce.
ReplyDeleteHave this in mind when you eat.
Eat until you arent hungry anymore, instead of until you are full.
You will be amazed at the difference this will make and the weight you will lose. You do this one thing and you can lose weight without even exercising.
You are AWESOME!! I have cut done portion size too and it hasn't been too bad!! Good luck with the coming week!!
ReplyDeleteYippeee for you, Sandy! That's fantastic! I started doing the smaller breakfast / no coffee thing too...you just feel so much better!
ReplyDeleteGood job Sandy! I am working on my portion sizes too. And especially NOT snacking as much. Between 3 & 5 pm in particular. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThose are excellent goals. I bet a lot can be accomplished by portion control alone. Now if I could just do that consistently.
ReplyDeleteI have an award for you here: http://mommayoungs-at-home.blogspot.com/2009/01/sisterhood-award.html
I know about that afternoon crash... I've been seriously considering trying a switch to decaf (but it just doesn't taste the same).
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your progress!!! What a long way to come in such a short time - Great Job!
You are doing GREAT. All your goals are so reasonable and healthy. You can do it! You ARE doing it!
ReplyDeleteYAY Sandy! You are doing great!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the cinnamon pecan special K I mentioned on my blog today? It's so yummy!
Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI am trying right along with you.
The coffee is still my weakness though. :(
I just wish I could get 5 pounds down! *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI replaced pop with with water (I drank a TON of pop and everyone said if I stopped I'd drop pounds like nothing - DIDN'T HAPPEN,) joined a gym 2 months ago and have been watching my calorie intake...
I seriosuly don't know what is wrong with me. I'm only 23 and I gained 50 pounds in the last 3 years.... at least the bright side is that i haven't gained anything since I stopped drinking pop!
Keep up the work... 5 pounds is awesome!!! 5 more soon and 5 more after that...and before you know it - SKINNY!!!!
Oh man...I just clicked here after eating two portions of dinner and then a Lindt chocolate! I'm not doing too good, huh!?
