4 Months and 40 Years

Time sure does fly! Stella is 4 months old today! Do you see that smile? We see it an awful lot! She is so easy going and happy all the time. Last week, she rolled over for the first time. It happened so fast, that I missed getting it on video :0(  So now, I just won't put my camera down! I don't want to miss a single thing!

And, there is someone else celebrating a birthday today. Big Daddy is 40 years old today! Well, he's not really "celebrating", lol! I think he would rather just forget it's his birthday. hehehehehe

Butterflies. Oh My!

This week is the 156th Annual Bloomsburg Fair. The fair is certainly a fun place to be, but if you look past the games, delicious treats, and spectacular rides, you can find a lot of educational exhibits as well. And guess what, these exhibits are just as much fun as all that other stuff! We spent Sunday afternoon at the fair and I must say, one of our favorite moments was visiting the Butterfly exhibit. The exhibit was full of fluttering butterflies and the girls were able to feed them. They had butterflies in every stage of development, which was very interesting to see.
Felicia wanted to get a closer look at the butterfly she was feeding.
Sometimes the butterflies just want to get a closer look at you!
Little Miss Stella was really not sure what to think of this thing mommy was showing her.
So, realizing that the Butterfly Habitat was very warm and cozy....she took a nap.

Dear Mother Nature,

We had a lovely summer, indeed we did. But, if you don't mind, now that it is officially fall, could you please turn the heat down? Just a smidge? You see, we would like to visit the pumpkin patch and the apple orchard, but it's just not as fun when you are all hot and sweaty. And who wants to bake some yummy warm apple crisp if it's already feeling like an oven inside your house. Putting our summer clothes away and pulling out our warm and cozy sweaters would make us so very happy. So, please, I beg of you, turn it down. Just a smidege? I promise that I will not bother you to turn it down again any time soon. In fact, you could just keep it fall all year long and I will not complain.

Thank you,

Muffin Tin Monday-Shapes

It's been a little while since we did our last Muffin Tin Monday meal and Madelyn has really been missing it. I promised her that this week we would definitely participate and then I realized that we were in store for a busy Monday with K-4 and a doctor's appointmnet. But, I made a promise and I hate to break them so we had a very simple muffin tin meal. The theme this week is shapes! We decided to stick with just circles this week, that way, we can highlight our other favorite shapes on weeks that we have no theme. Here is Mady's lunch:

As you can see, Mady was very happy to have her Muffin tin Meal! :0)

Call Me Sporadic Sandy

It's okay, I won't be offended if you do. I'll admit it, I have been very sporadic with my posting lately. My thought was, that when school was back in session, I would have lots of time to post. Wrong! I am even more busy now than I was all summer. But, I am working on getting back on track. I have a few ideas swimming around in my head, so I hope that I can share them with you soon. Thanks for sticking around!

Week One=Success

I'll admit, I was a bit nervous about having 3 kids at home for school this year. Aaron had been doing quite well without the distractions of a regular classroom, but I was not sure how he would handle having Michael here this year. Not to mention, Madelyn is home doing K-4. The beginning of the week was rough. Michael's supplies had still not arrived by Monday, which was the first day of school. So, Aaron and Madelyn got started and Michael slept till noon. But Tuesday morning, an angel(the Fed Ex driver) arrived with many packages and we were on our way. Things have been running smoothly and everyone is learning as they should be.

Here is Madelyn arranging the letters of the alphabet in order. She loves school and would probably do it from morning to night if I let her.

The boys work very well together, but at times, I do have to stop them from laughing across the table at each other.
So, week one has been a success! Hopefully, the rest of the year will go by without too many bumps along the way!
