Last night a very blustery storm blew through our area taking most of our remaining leaves from the trees. This morning, we gathered said leaves and created some pretty cute looking turkeys!
Glue the leaves to a piece of construction paper.
It should resemble the tail feather of a turkey.
Add a body cut from another piece of construction paper.
Add a beak, feet, and some eyes(I ran out of wiggly eyes so I used paper).
And here I was trying to teach my daughter about leaf collages and leaf "people" and I never even thought of a turkey! We did make hand turkeys yesterday, tho! :> Fun idea!
I just added this to my ideas for a Turkey Party! Cute! Feel free to grab a button to add to your site. http://brainstorminbloom.blogspot.com/2012/11/turkey-party-bouquet-event.html Thanks!
Very cute! We just did a similar turkey with fake leaves from the Dollar Store.
ReplyDeleteI think it turned out great! There seems to be no shortage of things we can make into a turkey. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have some beautiful leaves there! All we have is tiny one inch leaves. It would take us all day to put together a turkey with them.
